Welcome PGA Head Professional Matt Engberg!
Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota his family consists of two sets of twins and a lone brother. Here in Vermont Matt is the proud father of two beautiful children, son Dakota and daughter Cassidy. Matt resides in St. Albans Town with his fiancé Marlene Charron.
Matt started his career in 1982 at the Woodstock Country Club in Woodstock, Vermont. He was then recruited to work for Bob Lendzion at the Quchee Club in Quchee, Vermont, were he excelled in his playing and teaching abilities. Through the years he has worked in Portland, Maine, The Golf School at Mount Snow, Vt., Montague Golf Club ( Head Professional ten years), Stowe Country Club and Smugglers Notch Resort, Vt.
Matt's playing credentionals consist of: Three- Time Vermont Pro-Pro Champion, New England Pro-Pro Champion, Numerous Low Pro Pro-Am Winner, Played North Florida PGA Winter Tour, Selected to represent New England Section in the first Squire Cup Matches (New England beat Connecticut in a Ryder Cup Format), holds course record (62) at the Montague Golf Club.
As a successful PGA Professional for twenty years, Matt has the reputation for his quality and successful teaching skills. He will bring a lesson program that will be suited to every ability and age. There will be a variety of lesson programs along with weekly men's and women's clinics, monthly golf schools, Junior program, private and group lessons and playing lessons. Look for lesson packages and early season specials and get the season off to your best season ever.
One last note, we are proud to announce that Matt has been appointed to the PGA of Americas Presidents Council and is one of a selected number of PGA Professionals around the country to be considered for this National Award. Good Luck Matt and congratulations on this honor.
